FAILURE TO LAUNCH PROGRAM FLORIDA

Failure to Launch Help For Young Men in Florida

Young adulthood is when young men should be beginning to move out on their own and make their own way in the world. Unfortunately, that isn’t always the case for all men. Many young men end up living at their parent’s house, not holding down a job, and generally not progressing in life during this crucial stage. This leaves them and their families feeling hopeless about their future. It’s important for you to know that you aren’t alone and there is help out there. Forte Strong is the country’s premier failure-to-launch program for men ages 18-26. Our expert team has helped many men and families, not just from Florida but also from around the world, overcome many issues related to failure to launch, such as video game addiction, depression, anxiety, avoidant personality disorder, lack of motivation, and more. If you feel like you or your son isn’t progressing in life the way he should be, we are here to help.

Failure to Launch Syndrome

Parents want their children to succeed on their own and become a successful, responsible, independent adults–in other words, to successfully launch. Many parents find that their sons haven’t met these criteria. Instead, they stay inside playing video games, drop out of school or fail to do well or struggle to keep a job and pay their expenses. This failure to be an independent adult is called Failure to Launch Syndrome. You or your son might be struggling with failure to launch syndrome if he meets some of the following criteria:

  • Social Anxiety
  • Video Game Addiction
  • Lack of Confidence
  • Inability to Handle Stress
  • Lack of Motivation
  • Failure to Assume Responsibility
  • Poor Work Ethic
  • Entitlement
  • Narcissism
  • Lack of Goals for the Future
  • Lack of Life Skills

The cause of failure to launch syndrome varies from person to person. It’s often caused by a lack of direction, simply not knowing what they want to do with their life or how to get there. Another common cause is a mental illness such as depression, anxiety or addiction. Whatever the causes of your son’s failure to launch may be, Forte Strong’s staff has seen it all and can help.

How Forte Strong Helps

Some young men will be able to overcome failure to launch syndrome at home with good support and mentors. However, for many men, it’s important to get out of their current environment in order to really push themselves and grow. They also need coaches and therapists who know what they’re doing and can really help. Though parents want to help, they often just don’t know how to. That’s exactly where Forte Strong comes in. Young men who participate in Forte Strong’s residential treatment program leave their home in Florida to get treatment in beautiful Southern Utah. There, they live with a small group of young men who are in a similar situation. They meet with coaches who help them plan for the future, learn new skills, and discover who they are and what they want. If needed, therapists can help with overcoming and managing mental illnesses and other mental blocks that may be holding a participant back. Our participants also learn important life skills such as living on their own, shopping for and cooking food, finding a job, and so much more. Young men who come to Forte Strong aren’t coddled. Instead, they are made to live on their own, but in a safe environment where they can receive the guidance of their coaches as needed. We have found that this is the best way to help young men develop the skills needed to live on their own. Our participants take the skills they learn at Forte Strong into the rest of their life.

“Before I came to Forte Strong I was going down a bad road. I didn’t have my head on straight and I was getting into fights with my family. Depression was a huge factor along with many other things. My mom and I never had a great relationship after high school or during. I would always defy everything and all of the rules to make myself happy. Brook and the coaches taught me how to budget my money, manage my time, and control my impulsive nature. They showed me the way and how to become the person I wanted to be. I quickly got a job, got my feet on the ground, and when I did, I took off running, hitting bumps along the way but learning to overcome them. Forte Strong really helped me take flight. I now live on my own and support myself which I never would have been able to do. Now… I am Forte Strong!”

Why Forte Strong?

life coach working with student with failure to launch syndrome

There are a lot of programs out there that claim to treat failure-to-launch syndrome. However, most of these facilities focus on addiction and major mental illnesses. These are definitely issues that need to be addressed, but we believe that a failure to launch treatment program is not the place for that. Here at Forte Strong, we focus solely on failure-to-launch syndrome and the issues that surround it. Our attention is never divided or focused on participants with more “severe” issues. Everyone at our facility is trained to deal specifically with failure to launch and help young men succeed in life. This allows all of our participants to receive the best care and to learn and grow with others in the same boat. We’d rather be experts in one thing than a jack of all trades so that we can best help those in our program. At Forte Strong, we aim to be the best in what we do, which is treating failure-to-launch syndrome. You can read more about our dedicated team here.

Another advantage of choosing Forte Strong is the location. We are a residential program, so our participants live at Forte Strong over the course of their treatment, which is usually about 6-9 months. We may be biased, but we don’t believe you can find a better location to learn and grow in. Forte Strong is located in the beautiful desert town of Saint George, UT. We get participants out of their Florida homes and into a new environment, where they are free to grow and become new, better men. Plus, the location comes with lots of perks. Because Southern Utah is home to beautiful national parks and other natural scenery, participants in Forte Strong often go on hikes and other outdoor adventures. We find that it’s often in the wilderness that our men grow the most because it allows them the chance to push themselves and become stronger and more confident. We’re also located near Dixie State University, where some participants choose to take classes to further their education while attending Forte Strong. Forte Strong is the perfect environment for young men to leave behind their old habits and grow into the responsible, independent adults they are meant to become.

If you still aren’t convinced, you don’t need to take our word for it. Forte Strong graduates (and their parents) always have great things to say about the program and how it changed their lives, and you can check out their testimonials here.
