My Bio:

Tyler’s natural passion for understanding the individual and his years of study make him effective at understanding and helping the students he works with. He grew up in in Iowa, Arkansas, and California; before spending two years living in the Philippines giving service and teaching English in the Visayan region. He is fluent in Cebuano, one of the native dialects found in the Philippines. These experiences have given him a compassion and insight into people from all walks of life. For the past 8 years Tyler has lived in Utah and grown to love the beautiful expanse of nature that Utah has to offer.

Tyler is currently working on his bachelor’s degree and then his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. His ultimate goal is to become a Marriage and Family Therapist and work with teens and young adults.

He is a Specialist in the Army Reserve and has learned leadership in his past three years of service. His time as a soldier has given him an understanding of how to motivate different kinds of people. Tyler spends time each week working with troubled teens in the area and is always looking for opportunities to connect with people in the community. Tyler enjoys reading, running, and spending time out in nature. Tyler’s greatest joy comes from spending time with his wife and young daughter.

MY MISSION STATEMENT:

-

I set healthy Boundaries with other people and give myself realistic expectations no matter the emotional or logical pressures to compromise those boundaries and expectations. I maintain and improve my physical, spiritual, emotional and mental health by periodically disengaging from my surroundings and rejuvenating self. I perceive the needs of those around me and give empathy, validation, swift service and loving feedback to give them the best chance to overcome or benefit from whatever situation they find themselves in. I hold to my values and priorities and never deviate from those values and priorities in order to satiate, or cajole the individual or the masses.

White

Motive [Peace]

Whites are motivated by PEACE. They seek independence and require kindness. They are typically quiet by nature, process things very deeply and objectively with great clarity. Of all the colors, Whites are the best listeners. They respect people who are direct but recoil from perceived hostility or verbal battle. Whites are much stronger than people think, but are not often seen for their strength because they don’t easily reveal their feelings. When you deal with Whites be kind, accept and support their individuality, and look for non-verbal clues to understand their feelings.

My Personality Type
INFP In A Nutshell

INFPs are imaginative idealists, guided by their own core values and beliefs. To a Healer, possibilities are paramount; the realism of the moment is only of passing concern. They see potential for a better future, and pursue truth and meaning with their own individual flair.
